Heathrow Residents: Your Church Community Awaits

Heathrow is one of Central Florida’s well-known residential communities — an expansive, gated community in Seminole County known for its beautiful neighborhoods, golf courses, and a strong sense of community. Many local families are looking for a church that reflects that same genuine community: a congregation with depth, warmth, and a commitment to both spiritual growth and community service.

Wekiva Presbyterian Church, located at 211 Wekiva Springs Lane, Longwood, FL 32779, is just a short drive from Heathrow and offers exactly that kind of church experience. We are a Christ-centered, multigenerational congregation with roots going back to 1977, and we have been privileged to welcome Heathrow-area residents into our church family for many years. At Wekiva, you will find a community grounded in faith, service, and connection.

Sunday Worship That Goes Beyond the Surface

Our worship service is thoughtfully planned and welcoming to all. Our Sunday worship service at 10:00 AM reflects that same care and thoughtfulness. Every part of our service, from the sermon to the music to the welcome at the door, is offered with care and sincerity.

Our worship style brings together the richness of the Reformed tradition with a warmth and accessibility that makes every visitor feel at home. Messages are grounded in Scripture and connect faith to everyday life, and the music is led by vocalists, guitarists, pianists, and a handbell choir to blend traditional hymns with contemporary worship.

Can't make it in person?

For residents with demanding schedules, our live stream every Sunday at 10 AM on YouTube and Vimeo ensures you can worship with us from anywhere.

A Church Committed to Making a Difference Beyond Its Walls

Wekiva Presbyterian Church believes that faith must be expressed in action, and our mission programs reflect a commitment to serving the broader Seminole County community, and the world, in tangible, meaningful ways.

  • Cuba Mission Partnership: Since 2017, Wekiva has maintained a formal partnership with a Presbyterian church in Remedios, Cuba. In 2024, we partnered with Myers Park Presbyterian Church to install a Living Waters for the World water purification system, the only source of free, safe drinking water in Remedios. This kind of global engagement reflects the worldview that many residents deeply appreciate.
  • Presbyterian Disaster Assistance: We support this denominational program that mobilizes resources and care for communities struck by crises around the world.
  • Peace and Global Witness: Wekiva contributes to this initiative that addresses systems of conflict and injustice globally, a mission that resonates with residents who are engaged citizens of the world.
  • Cru Military: We provide financial support to Joe and Kimmi Emerys, Cru Military representatives who serve military families at the Great Lakes Naval Station, honoring those who serve our country.
  • Local Community Support: From food pantries to school supply drives to hospice care ministry, Wekiva's local missions ensure that our impact is felt in the neighborhoods closest to home.
