Presbyterian Women

At Wekiva Presbyterian

Since 1977 when the church was chartered, Presbyterian Women (PW) has been a strong presence at Wekiva Presbyterian Church, supporting the church's mission through leadership and service.

PW’s Purpose: To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, support the missions of the church worldwide, work for justice and peace, build an inclusive, caring community of women, and witness to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Wekiva PW

  • Supports local mission projects including Loaves and Fishes, Advent Hospice center, SHARP, and food pantries at several local schools
  • Hosts events that support our missions including our plant sales in May and December.
  • Honors our Wekiva staff and teachers, and the staff at Endeavor School with gifts that show our appreciation of their hard work.
  • Sponsors four Bible Study Circles.

Three PW Circles are studying the Horizon Bible Study series Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation by Patricia K. Tull.

These Circles meet on the third Tuesday of each month from September through May.

  • Morning Circle meets at 10:00 am for the Bible lesson, discussion, and lunch.
  • Afternoon Tea Circle meets at 2:00 pm to discuss the lesson with light refreshments served in a Christian tea party setting.
  • Evening Circle meets at 6:30 pm for dinner and the Bible lesson.

LOFT (Ladies of Faith Together) meets twice a month at 9:30 am or 6:30 pm to discuss a Biblical study series of the group’s choosing.

Ladies of all ages are welcome in any group. Childcare is available. Please call the Church office at 407-869-1608 for more information.
