Connecting Apopka Families to a Thriving Faith Community in Seminole County

Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Lake Mary Florida

Apopka Is Growing, and Wekiva Presbyterian Is Ready to Welcome You

Apopka is one of Central Florida's fastest-growing cities, with a population that has surpassed 66,000 residents and continues to climb. Known as the "Indoor Foliage Capital of the World," the city is known for deep roots, multicultural richness, and a strong sense of community identity. As more families put down stakes in the expanding neighborhoods, many are also searching for a church that offers genuine belonging, strong biblical teaching, and meaningful service to the community.

Wekiva Presbyterian Church, located at 211 Wekiva Springs Lane, Longwood, FL 32779, sits just a short drive from Apopka via Wekiva Springs Road — making it one of the most conveniently accessible churches for residents in the region. We are a Christ-centered congregation that has been serving this corner of Central Florida since 1977, and we are eager to welcome the growing nearby community into our church family.

Worship That Speaks to a Diverse, Growing Community

Apopka is home to a beautifully diverse population — families from all walks of life, backgrounds, and generations who share a desire for authentic community and spiritual growth. Our Sunday worship service at 10:00am is designed with exactly that kind of congregation in mind.

At Wekiva Presbyterian, you will find a worship experience that honors both tradition and relevance. Our services blend classic Christian hymns with modern worship music, grounded always in the authority of Scripture. Every message is crafted to connect the timeless truths of God's Word to the real-life situations that the city's families face every day.

Can't make it in person?

If the drive from the city doesn't work every Sunday, our live stream on YouTube and Vimeo ensures you can worship with us from wherever you are.

What Visitors Can Expect:

  • A genuinely warm welcome from the moment you arrive — no dress code, no prerequisites
  • Biblically grounded sermons that connect faith to family, work, and community life
  • A rich musical experience featuring vocalists, guitarists, piano, and handbell choirs
  • An engaging Children's Sermon and a dedicated Children's Chapel during the service
  • Communion on the first Sunday of each month
  • Meaningful fellowship after the service

Reaching Out Across Orange County

Wekiva Presbyterian Church's missions extend across county lines. We are committed to serving not only Seminole County but also the communities of Orange County through our active mission partnerships.

  • Farmworker Association of Florida: The Anne Kaufmann Memorial Fund at Wekiva provides Christmas gifts and support to families through the Farmworker Association of Florida — an organization with deep ties to the community, which has historically been home to a significant agricultural workforce.
  • Christian HELP: Our congregation provides Christmas gifts for children and families through Christian HELP, serving families across the Central Florida region.
  • Loaves & Fishes: We donate food to hunger-relief organizations that serve residents across Seminole and Orange Counties, including Apopka.
  • Patricia Swain-Kathy Hood Scholarship Fund: Wekiva provides postsecondary education scholarships to youth members, supporting the next generation of leaders from neighboring communities.
