Come join us on Palm Sunday at either the Wekiva Alive or Traditions Worship Services, as Christians celebrate Jesus’ procession into Jerusalem. According to the gospels, the people of Jerusalem spread branches from trees—identified specifically as palm branches in John’s gospel—on the road to welcome Jesus as He rode a donkey into the city. Because of this, many Christian churches today include palms as part of worship on Palm Sunday. Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem begins the journey toward the Cross of Good Friday and the Empty Tomb of Easter Day.
