The Rev. Paul W. Anderson

Rev. Paul Anderson is the Associate Pastor for Congregational
Life and Pastoral Care. He joined the staff, February 1, 1999. He
has a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Science from California Polytechnic
University in Pomona, California, and a Master of Divinity from
Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. While in Seminary, Paul worked
as the Seminarian and later as Director of Youth Ministries at Southminster
Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
Rev. Anderson was the first minister to be ordained
at Wekiva. He believes in the church as the Body of Christ and is
committed to the Church of Jesus Christ as a means by which God’s
people gather for worship, work, and are to complete the mission
of Christ assigned to us all. He believes that Jesus works through
us in order that his message and work are accomplished. Rev. Anderson
serves the larger community by working as a chaplain for the Orange
County Sheriff’s Office.
Paul was born in Bellshill, Scotland in 1968. He
spent most of his formative years in Southern California. In 1994
he moved to Pittsburgh to attend Seminary. Paul is married to his
wife, Marcia, an elementary school teacher. They live in the Wekiva
area with their son Colin, daughter Lindsay, and dog Muffin.
