 Thanks
to the generosity of our congregation, we have raised the money
to build a Habitat Home. Our groundbreaking is January 24, 2004.
You will find our work schedule here, a map to the construction
site and other pertinent information about our project. As our project
moves forward, check out our photos and watch our plans turn into
a new home.
Our habitat family partner is Grace Ciancimino and her 15-year old
daughter, Irene. Grace came into the Habitat program 2 years ago
and after working on homes for other Habitat homebuyers is now getting
close to completing the required 500 volunteer hours of ‘sweat equity’
The Ciancimino’s currently live with Grace’s parents in a very crowded,
two bedroom apartment since they are unable to afford a decent apartment
in a safe neighborhood.
Grace works
hard at two jobs and also attends school part time, working on a
degree in business administration. Her goal is to advance into a
management position at Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital,
where she now works as a cook and dietary aide. Grace and Irene
are excited and eager to get started on their new home.
